Things I love about Christmas...

Being raised by loving Christian parents...

Being part of this wonderful family!

Knowing how much God loves ME ... a sinner! He gave His Son to die for MY sins!

Christmas lights! Knowing that Christ is the light of the world & loves us just the way we are!

And looking forward to seeing you in 10 days!

Blog hum blug!

I have found blogs can be a way of staying connected with others, informative and addictive. I look at several blogs throughout the day and am impressed with the amount of time some of you spend posting to your blogs. It's not that I haven't attempted blogging, it's because by the time I download the pictures, I can't post them. I am more of a visual person than a writer. Who was it that said, "A picture is worth a thousand words?" I have also realized how time consuming this actually is. Maybe my priorities have changed or I'm simply frustrated with my lack of creativity. Maybe it's the time of year when everyone becomes busier and life is hectic. Maybe it's because I don't have anything to say or share or the time to do this. I don't have the answer. BUT I am aware that I haven't posted for some time. This is for those of you who check my blog and tell me that I need to add another post.

Who are these wild turkeys?

James, Samuel & Bennett... that's who! Happy Thanksgiving!

A night with the boys!

FINALLY! A night with the Ross boys! It was a delious evening with pizza...

From pizza to popcorn! One whole pizza and 3 bags of popcorn! Here are the boys eating popcorn and watching that dirty rat movie..."Rat 'o louie" (Ok ... so I can't spell! James tried all night to teach me 'how to say it' ... ta ta ta)

SHHHhhhhh! Baby sleeping!

Samuel is having sweet dreams ... see how he is grinning!

AND whatever you do, don't tell them to keep their eyes closed...James had to keep an eye on me. I never knew that boys could talk as much as these three. Needless to say, I wasn't done cleaning up before Chris & Amy walked in the door. Thanks for all the hugs and stories ... maybe Mommy will let me come back to play again!

Neena's B-day party!

The party was at Jaxson's Ice Cream Palor.

Huge sundaes with many scoops of ice cream, fruit toppings with "real" whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry on top. A sparkler came with Neenas birthday treat!

The perky party people were:
Oma and Boopa (Sugar covering her face in the far right)

Johnny

Silly boys making faces...Jake & Michael

Rick

Scarey Ben

Lisa and Jake

Elisabeth & Dede

Flowers for Neena all the way from Austria!

This is a day to be remembered in history! On Neenas birthday, September 15, 2007, it was a very sad day for me! I never thought that I would experience the day when I couldn't eat ALL my ice cream! At least Neena had a happy day!

Thank you Elisabeth for taking these pictures!

The End'o Summer...

The end of summer BBQ and talent show at St. Andrews means that school is about to begin. The following are some of the acts that performed. Ebony and Ivory performed tonight and 11 years ago. (Theo & Johnny)

Shirley Temple sang "Good Ship Lollipop" but forgot to shave his legs! Kinda scarey!

Hannah Montana (AKA Maria Cowan) made a guest appearance.

Wayne Wobb and his famous spoon act!

The Twins did special baton twirling!

Roberts Melton sang...

The mens choir performed.

Katherine Moore was the MC and did a terrific job. Here she is making her Jim Carey face...

Bobbi Lee and Isaac enjoyed the show!

The gang says, "Hi to the Hunter kids!"

After the St. Andrews talent show, the boys sack out on the floor in the family room. Elisabeth slept with Neena. This means that the "other grands" spent the night with the Glam Grams.

The morning started off early. Michael found a 4 legged friend! Looks like a tatoo to me!

Michael gave his friend 'Michael' a ride in the boat.

MeMoo getting her morning fix!

Neena and Elisabeth make breakfast. Neena giving Elisabeth instructions on how to make the perfect waffle...

Meanwhile, Elisabeth pours the eggs for scrambled eggs.

"Push the eggs" says Neena.

Time for another waffle!

Viola! The perfect waffle!

Look at the table full of food! Scrambled eggs, waffles with whipped creme and sprinkles, orange juice and chocolate milk. Yummmmmmy!

"I smell something burning!" ... Ooops! A waffle was left in the waffle iron!

Elisabeth made alphabet sheets for Abby and Levi to practise their writing.

Ben made a "Balloon Blimp" using a paper cup attached with curling ribbon to a balloon filled with helium. You must have just the right weight in the cup to allow the blimp to float.

Michael and Ben did experiments...

What a concoction! Vinegar, soda, baking powder, salt, pepper, soy sauce, pepper, cinnamon, water, food coloring and even coffee! Michael said it tasted pretty good!

While the boys were doing their experiments, Elisabeth came to MeMoos Beauty Palor. Before...

After...

Wow! What a difference! Needless to say the time was way too short and too many things to be done. I guess they will have to come back! :)
