We were greeted by Mr. Cat when we arrived to the Grimes in Alexander City, Alabama. He thinks (I think) that he is a watch dawg. He stayed very close to Laura and Gary during our stay.
Mr. Fat Cat!
He watched every move ...
... and listened to the chatter and laughter of women!
After dinner, he stretched out and said, "I can't believe I ate the whole bowl!"
Laura took us to see their daughters (Linda) lake front summer home. They recently purchased this 4BR/2 bath 'cabin' on the lake and are in the process of cleaning, painting and having fun decorating. This sign says it all!
Laura pointing to sights for Lyn to see at Point Windy.
You can see how low the lake is due to the drought AL is experiencing.
Other views from Point Windy...
We enjoyed the cool breeze while visiting. It was nice and quiet at the lake. I'm sure Lindas family will create many memories here. Simply getting away from the "city" to enjoy down time with family and friends.
Meanwhile back at the house.... her majesty takes over the bedroom...
And moves right next to Gary!
"I refuse to look at you with my big beautiful blue eyes!" Darn cat! Every time I tried to capture the picture, she would look away or move her head.
Gary enjoyed breakfast in bed surrounded by women! He had fun hearing all the "girl talk" and catching up on those they left behind in FL. Gary is doing well and added much to the conversations! It was great to see how God is using them in Alex City. They are involved in their church with Bible studies and Wednesday Night Suppers. Gary started his own nursing home ministry where he visits weekly. The residents are encouraged and glad to see him. We greatly appreciated their hospitality in their southern home.
Sorry Laura & Gary...I didn't get a good picture of the two of you together! People are going to be talkin 'bout cha!
